What does it mean to be accredited by the AACD? It’s basically a PhD in cosmetic dentistry. The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry sets the gold standard for cosmetic dentistry, and earning their accreditation is a prestigious achievement. The program lasts five years and includes expert training, rigorous tests, and a meticulous examination of the dentist’s cosmetic work. Only a handful of dentists qualify for accreditation, and Dr. Thomas was the first dentist in Utah to earn this accreditation.
